If you love crisp, mineral, and complex whites Verdicchio might just be the wine for you. One of Italy’s most prestigious white grapes, it’s even lighter than Pinot Grigio and pairs perfectly with many of the same foods – shrimp, pasta, lemon, capers, and more! This Verdicchio comes from Tenuta di Tavignano, a renowned producer in the famed Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico region that’s been specializing in this style since the 1990s, long before it was considered cool to grow indigenous grape varieties. Bright and mineral-driven, with aromas of herbs, sea salt, and pear that lead into citrusy flavors of grapefruit, lemon, and lime. Light-bodied with subtle hints of green apple and almond on a long, slightly bitter finish.
