This "Orange Wine" is a type of white wine made by leaving the grape skins and seeds in contact with the juice (in the same way that red grapes make a Rose). According to winemaker Andrew Jones, Skins is “the bottle that will convert you to skin contact white wines.” This selection opens with light aromas of orange peel, white peach, and floral notes that lead into flavors of apricot and Haitian orange. It is smooth on the palate with hints of marzipan and persimmon. The skin contact provides body and texture, with a soft tannic grip that leads into a soft finish. A blend of 43% Chenin Blanc, 18% Pinot Gris, 16% Riesling, 13% Albarino, 5% Vermentino, 4% Albillo Mayor, and 2% Verdelho.
